VALVES
BALL VALVE
The ball valve body design is conventional and flow is controlled by the position of a hole through the ball.
ANGLE SEAT VALVE
An angle seat piston valve is a pneumatically-controlled valve with a piston actuator providing linear actuation to lift a seal off its seat.
BUTTERFLY VALVE
A butterfly valve is a valve that isolates or regulates the flow of a fluid. The closing mechanism is a disk that rotates.
CHECK VALVE
Check valves are generally installed in pipelines to prevent backflow.
GATE VALVE
A gate valve, also known as a sluice valve, is a valve that opens by lifting a barrier (gate) out of the path of the fluid.
GLOBE VALVE
Globe valve can be used for regulating flow or pressures as well as complete shutoff of flow.
PINCH VALVE
A pinch valve is a full bore or fully ported type of control valve which uses a pinching effect to obstruct fluid flow.
SAFETY VALVE
A safety valve is a valve that acts as a fail-safe. An example of safety valve is a pressure relief valve (PRV), which automatically releases a substance from a boiler, pressure vessel, or other system, when the pressure or temperature exceeds preset limits.
SIGHT GLASSES
A sight glass or water gauge is a type of level sensor, a transparent tube through which the operator of a tank or boiler can observe the level of liquid contained within.
EXPANSION JOINT
Expansion joints are designed to safely absorb the dimensional changes of steel pipe systems and ducts.
ACTUATOR
A valve actuator is a mechanical device that uses a power source to operate a valve. This power source can be electric, pneumatic (compressed air), or hydraulic (the flow of oil).
LIMIT SWITCHES
Valve limit switch boxes are used to provide electrical confirmation and visual indication of open or closed valve position.
